House Captains 2009-2010

Holywood Primary School has a House system for sporting events and activities.
There are four Houses each being lead by a girl and boy House Captain.
ALL children participate in a great variety of sporting activities.
Each child gains points for their House which goes towards House Trophies at the end of the school year.
Each activity is meant to be fun with some elements of competition.
The children enjoy getting to know each other and aspire to be like others.

The House Captains support all their House members from P4 to P7 during events such as
Swimming,Hockey,Netball,Football, Rugby and Athletics.

I love sports and my favourites are football, hockey and athletics. I was very happy when Mrs Hart named me as Blue House Captain. I am looking forward to supporting everyone in the blue house when they compete in their sports. My cousin was the blue house captain last year and they won – come on Blue House. If everyone tries their hardest we can win again this year. I am looking forward to the house football and house hockey. I hope we have a great year.

Hi my name is Katy. I have been chosen for the blue house girl captain this year. This is a great way to get younger children involved in all different activities and do all kinds of sports and even try something new. I know blue house will try their best we can and put 100% into it. This is a great opportunity and I hope I will do a great job.

Hi my name is Matthew. I am Green House Captain and I am really pleased to be Green House Captain. I admire Fernando Torres because he is a really good footballer and I want to grow up to be like him. I like football, hockey and rugby. I want to grow up to be a footballer. I am sporty, cheeky (in a good way!) and funny. I enjoy encouraging other children to try their best and to enjoy being part of a team. I have been lucky enough to win tournaments in school and outside school and to be part of a winning team. I have also learnt along the way that it is as important to be a good loser. This year I hope Green House win as much as they can!!!

Hi my name is Eve and I’m the Green house captain.I play hockey at civil service with Katy, Maddy and Kara .My favourite sports are hockey, netball, gymnastics and horse riding. My best friends are Katy, Maddy, Kara, Eve P and Jessica. This year Green house is going to put 99999999% into winning.

Hi my name is Ross and I am Red House Captain. My favourite Sport Players are Wayne Rooney, David Healy, Andy Murray, Rory McIlroy, and Ronan O’Gara. My favourite Sports are Football, Rugby , Tennis and Swimming. My Personality is funny,

Hyper, (and possibly rude). I am so excited to be Red House Captain! I love encouraging people and giving it my all.

My name is Shauna and I have been picked as the Red House captain this year. I really enjoy sport and I want to encourage younger pupils to like sport as much as I do. I am in the Netball team and I love netball and lots of other sports like hockey, swimming and long jump. I have competed in the long jump at North Down athletics for the past two years and I am hoping to qualify this year again. I am very pleased to be the Red House captain because I love sport and I believe it is good for you because it keeps you fit and healthy.

Hi I’m Dermot. My favourite sports are rugby, circus, sailing and hockey in that order. I like sports because they are lots of fun and I like working together to win the game or to perform a good show. I love sailing because it is exhilarating and every time it is different. I’m really glad I was made house captain. I think I will be good at it because I’m sporty and friendly!
